blu-ray is a type of disk like dvd or HD-DVD and blu-ray is different because it can hold 50 gig's of any thing and witch is good for games more maps better graphics's and other things and it is also used for movies but its expensive and if it surpasses HD-DVD's then MS will invest in it.
