take off the HDD and the AV cords just leave the power connected.
turn on the xbox wrap it completely in 2-3 towels and leave it on for about 20-30 minutes, then unwrap it and turn it off for the same amount of time.
it should fix the lights but not for me, it only fixed it for a few days.
