| Linux VS. Windows I am thinking about switching to linux on my next computer, but I want to know that it worth it. Will it be able to play windows software? What benefits does it offer me? How expensive is it? Or will I be better off with windows? Can anyone convince me why or why not to get it.

| Well, I haven't heard a whole lot about Linux, as I don't think it's as popular as windows... but with Windows Vista coming out, I recomend that with any PC that is compatible and at least 1gb of ram to run it... only because Vista has a lot of "animation" based effects through-out Vista... but that's only a suggestion |

| I would say stick with windows. It works fine for me, plus I am going to upgrade to vista pretty soon, looks pretty cool to me plus loads of features and cool displays. If you really want to try something new then go ahead and get linux but I say stick with windows. |

Linux is for more advanced users who don't care about conveinience, and care more about what they can output from a machine. If you are just going to ue it for internet, watching movies, etc get a Windows. If you are a computer programmer or designer then Linux may be for you, but still I'd say windows overall. |

| I always here good things about Linux. I've yet to try it out though, so Windows gets my vote in this one. |
