Are games to expensive

i belive they are. today i payed off GoW collectors edition, CoD3, and RB6V. the total came out to $195. i think that is way to much money for 3 games. i mean the video game system it self was 400. 3 games is half the price of the system. i think they should go back down to $30-$40 b.c prices now r ridiculous. post ur thoughts

hell yes..

see when i "consider" buying a 360..i call it a "add-on" becuz u buy it and inturn you have to buy games to play the dern thing..

its ridiculous..games used to be 50 which was bad..now they are 60 new..70 CEdition..6 months after COD2 was out..i bought a USED copy and it was 40$..

i mean honestly..i wish i could buy a system for 400$ w/ like 30,000 credits and games would cost like 5,000..

its only going to go up...i could only image how much that game cost to make..(prolly like 15$)...(the CD,a labeler, and a computer just transfers the stuff ONTO the disc..)

I'm willing to pay more for higher quality gameplay.
Funniest thing is, PDZ was my cheapest purchase and I've played it more than anything.

I think they are charging too much for the collector editions.
Collector editions should be the standard. The current standard should only be released after the CE is sold out or has been on shelves for over a month.
Since the game is now a month old (or more) it would automatically be cheaper.

GoW Collector's Edition comes out Nov 12th, for $59.99 (regular edition price here).
By Christmas, GoW Standard Edition is released for $49.99 and no longer includes the snazzy case/extra discs/bonuses.
After maybe a year, Platinum Hits edition comes out for $29.99.

Kind of like books, which come out in hardcover, and after a year or so they bring out the paperback edition for the casual reader. Gaming enthusiasts and collectors would be offered the CE by default and the casual gamers/frugal gamers could wait a month and save some dough.

No I don't think they are too expensive. Do you know how much time the makers of the game put into the game, then selling something like GoW for $40 just sounds ridiculous to me. To me that game is worth $100. And seeing as how you preordered and got the limited edition of GoW, you must have spent a lot of money.

To me 60 dollars for a game is a reasonable price.

It's kind of alot of meat for one dog, but I can afford it. I wish they would bring it back down to $50, but I'm not complaining.

I believe the prices are too much but they wont be lowered anytime soon. Now a days the games take longer to make and they cost more money to produce. So in order for the makers to get and income they must price the games higher. I hope we see a decrease in the prices in the future but from what I can see I dont see it happening.

Ya I remeber when PS one games were 50 bucks as well, and I thought that was expensive. But now there getting to 60- 100 bucks!! I think I'm gonna get into making my own 360 game
