Default Avatars and Signatures

So you've joined T360F and you see everyone has uber secksy avatars (the images below their name on the left) and signatures (the graphics that show up below their post).

Here's how to do it and a few simple rules to remember. First, log into your account. Then click on "User CP" up on the top of the screen with all the other things. Once you've done that you will see a screen with a bunch of "Edit" options on the left side under "Control Panel".

Alright, let's say you have a picture you made in photoshop or MS Paint and you want to use it as your sig. There are two places I would recommend uploading your picture to make it Forumable. First would be www.photobucket.com, this is a great site to create your own profile and making your images available to you and the public. You need to sign up but it's worth it. The next one would be www.imageshack.us, this is also free but requires no registration. Only downside is it is difficult to keep track of all of your stuff that you want to save.

Yay, you've uploaded your pic to somewhere and now you need it for you sig. What you want to do is copy the link to your uploaded image, it should be something like http://www......lkjsdflj.jpeg, .bmp, or .png or whatever you saved your image as. Alright, once you have that link go to your control panel here at T360F and click on "Edit Signature". Go to the open box down at the bottom where you can type stuff in. What you want to do is click on the little Yellow Box with the mountain like shapes in it. A prompt will come up saying "Please enter the URL of your image", paste your image link into this and click ok. Now in your signature box you will see your link that you just pasted wrapped in wonderful [IMG] tags. Click save changes and you're all done.

Avatars are a little different, but not much if you find a .gif or something you want to use off the internet. If this is the case, or you uploaded your image like you did for your signature then click on "Edit Avatar". You'll see your current avatar with an option "Do Not use avatar". Then down below that you will see "use custom avatar" this is the one that you want to check. So click that and then do the same thing, only just enter in your link and don't worry about the [IMG] tags. Click save changes and you're done.

Great work, you successfuly added images to your sig and added a avatar to make you... well you. Here's the catch to these handy methods to self expression.

1. No Nudity of any kind - Absolutlely not allowed will result in temporary ban
2. No Advertising - Anything that is linked to a site not affiliated with T360F, and/or is used for your own economic benifit will result in a temporary ban. Things that are ok are the names of a site, like Shatterstudios. As long as it isn't www.whatever.com then it's probably alright.
3. Profanity/Vulgarity - There are no censors for this forum and so swearing and other profranities are for the most part allowed. What is not allowed are excessively vulgar expressions. This judgement is a moderators decision so think twice before you think you can post anything.
4. Racism - None what so ever, will result an at least 1 week ban.
5. Piracy - Stolen material that is put into your profile is not allowed, will result in a ban.
6. Back to Nudity - This is a wide aged group forum and it is important that we respect what is appropriate for everyone. While you may think you're the only person on the planet with an agenda to disregard anyone else that's just not the way it is. If something is questionable then don't be surprised if a moderator edits it for you or decides you need some time to think about it.

One more important note about profiles, signatures, and avatars. MODS CAN EDIT THEM WHEN EVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT. DON'T THINK THAT SOMETHING YOU POST THERE CAN ONLY BE EDITED BY AN ADMINISTRATOR.

Thanks for reading and happy posting.
