I'll give you the good news first, in a "player" match you can invite your friends and you can all stay together for multiple games. Here is the bad news. In a ranked match there is no party system, you cannot invite friends, and even if you have a good game with a team you cannot stay together and keep playing. After a ranked game your only option is to press b and leave the game. Next game you are matched up with and against entirely random players again.
