360 headset uses (wireless)

I bought the wireless headset today and it's currently charging.
I read the manual and it seems like it connects to the xbox360 and not to the wireless controller. This saddens me a bit.

I had looked foward to being able to use this headset on my computer. At the moment, I have a wired controller hooked into a usb port on my computer and a wired mic hooked to that. That way I have a mic/headset for use on teamspeak and vent.

I have a feeling I won't be able to connect my wireless headset to the wired controller because it's plugged into my computer, not my 360. Any hacks or ways around this?

Note that I havn't tried anything yet, so I'm up for any suggestions. In 4 hours I begin testing, lol.

I have a question, is the wireless mic alot better then the wired mic? The wired mic is terrible for xbox games.

Since it runs directly off a frequency from the 360 I'm fairly certain it won't be useable for your pc.

Not to be a downer or anything but the people I know that use the wireless headsets are always picking up lots of static and their mic's always make so much noise.I prefer the wired based on what I have seen.But like Rico said I doubt it will work with your PC.

Ditto to Irken's post. The wireless is great, when it is working. However, it has a defect of some sort and it will start giving feedback and need to be reset sometimes (powered off and on again). This happens with varying frequency, anywhere from 2 mins to an hour after turning it on.

Yeh the wireless headsets have a weird tendency to hum.

microsfot is suposed to be bringing out a wireless reciver for the pc's so u can use the 360 controllers wirelessly on them but they said this age's ago so i dno if its ever gna happen

Yea the humming noise is really annoying when it happenes on the wireless mics

. But as everyone has stated before it will most likely not work on a pc untill microsoft decides to release something that will allow it to.
