Tubes and projection are the most reliable because they are older technology, but because they are the older technology, you will not enjoy them for as long as you might like. I've had a DLP HD for 3 years and I've been looking at LCDs for the last year and a half. I love the HD, but LCD has an overall better quality picture in comparison to a DLP. With 1080p available in the market now, I'd wait for that. |

| I bought mine for a life expectancy of 5 years. I plan on buying a better one within the next 2 years. Depends how long you want it to last though.
I could be wrong, but when you encounter a random seeming TV size (37")
I'd avoid it. Aside from possible repair issues, I think there is either a size reduction from a 40" to tighten the focus and enhance the definition falsely.
(A crappy 40" becomes a decent 37") or a size stretch from a 32" which would decrease the definition. (If 37" is a standard size, I've never seen one).
You could probably get a 40" for the same or near price.
I wouldn't recommend buying something you haven't seen in a showroom however. You can't really compare the quality online. A $1000 purchase justifies a little footwork in my opinion. |

Im looking at lcd tvs and 30% of the tv's are 37"(very few 40", and around the same amount of 32"). I will definitely check everything out first...and compare quality before i buy.
