Hey i was thinking about getting a new laptop but not sure what kind yet. I'm going to save up some money for a while so just trying to figure out around how much i should save. Any suggestions?

First question: why a laptop, can get more bang for buck with a desktop

second question: what is it used for, obviously the most decked out alienware upgradeable would be a good choice, but the things weigh a fuck ton and cost a shit ton. and all laptops cost an assload compared to desktops.

i know i own a desktop but i was thinking about switching. The laptop is going to be for editing, music, and for my website. So for that i was thinking alienware but also maybe a mac powerbook.

he may not have room for a desktop or enough money because some desktops require speaker purchase and monitor purchases

a laptop for editing and stuff will cost over 1000. Maybe go with a dell xps, you can get some with good processor power and less video card power so it wont have to be all decked out since you have a desktop.
