If I lent my friend my crackdown disk could he download the Halo 3 Beta?

I suppose anyone could download it from the disk, BUT, you have to have the disk in your posession to play the beta, b/c thats the only way to get into to it, unless your box is modded maybe. | |

well, there arent anyways to access it from the dashboard or anything, but I would make an educated guess that the xbox recognizes that the beta is not on your hd and would display "download the beta" instead of "play the beta". But like I said, its nothing mroe than an educated guess. | |

Yes, He can download the file to his HDD but the ONLY way he can play it is if he has a copy of Crackdown in the Xbox

you can get the beta with out crackdown with the "Xsata" it's a thing that hook's up to your HDD and you can pout the beta from a mod site onto your hdd and then you would just go to demo's and it would be their.and your way you need the disk to play the beta if you d/l it from crackdown it can be on as many HDD you just need crackdown to launch it and it HAS TO STAY in the disk drive or it will end the beta.
