|  Question about Vista (I'm building a PC)
I'm building a PC with the following specs.
Clickable
Intel Core 2 Duo
2gb RAM
Nvidia SLI Motherboard
Nvidia 8800 GTS Video Card Sound Card
200 gb of Storage
Not Clickable
Water Cooling System
Widescreen Monitor
I know that it will be able to run Vista. I just want to know, is Vista worth the money? Are the compatibility issues really that bad?
If you're a mac fanboy, please don't tell me to buy a Mac, it's not that I don't like it, I just rather use Windows.

You can just get a pirated version of it easily for free. Yay for internetz! /sarcasm.
But if you decide to buy it, get something called... uhh can't remember actually, and it allows you to use xp and vista, so if you don't like vista you can still use xp, and vista for gaming. Woot!

Vista seems a lot like XP to me, I guess I haven't got real far in to it but it just seems a little fancier lookin and thats it

oh and BTW vista is fine all my games and hardware works fine with it BUT i would recomend a lil more the 2GB ram if your planning on playing games on it i run 2GB ram on mine and vista (evan basic edition) use's a MIN of 1gig leaveing just 1GB free for games for example i can play BF2142 on High on XP but medium on vista and SR on LOW with a AMD 4000+ Deul core and 512 ATI GFX card | |

at the moment vista is pissing me off. My old sound card drivers don't work for but thats ok I wouldnt expect them to. So I download the ones vista tells me to and it works....but wait, no it doesn't. It was fine one minute, now I don't have sound. Tried reinstalling, nope. The vista problem suggestion was downloading the drivers. (oops, already did that) and calling the manufacturer. (sweet, really want to do that) Its a creative sound blaster audigy 2zs. I really expected their shit to work. Wasnt suprised when some some of the other stuff like the Daemon tools I posted earlier didn't work. | |

if not make sure you got the right ones coz mine didnt work then i just did what i said and everything works peachy  more stable and better sounding the XP imo | |
