I've had my regular xbox for five years...and I cried today..LITERALLY when it froze, is there any way to fix it?

the startup happens, you know, when the xbox logo comes up? it glitches and then my big ring on the front flashes orange, then tells me I need service, then it gives me a number 11 or 12 up in the upper left. I cant even open the disc tray!!!

hahahaha thats sucks.....it's kinda sad you actually cried over it but i guess that's just how you roll...save money and get a 360

Probably needs a new DVD drive, you can get one off ebay and install it yourself for less than $50. You CAN open the disc tray just get a paper clip and look for the tiny little hole (i think its next to the Xbox symbol on the drive) and jam it in there it will open partially and you can just pull it out.

well that sucks.. mine is fucked up and i have a warranty just yet to turn it in :P since i have the 360 and all.. and i dont have many original xbox games that i am wanting to play..
