The "Official" Heavy Metal Thread

Suggest a song to everyone else, be sure to mention what "genre" of metal it is and perhaps some things it is similar to. I love exploring a genre a bit and expanding my knowledge of it.

Sepultura - Refuse/Resist :: Amazing song which just screams heavy metal. Very heavy but a sort of controlled chaos which makes for one hell of a song. Feel free to bang your head.

((On a sidenote, I might recommend Pandora (www.pandora.com) for an internet radio. It is currently ad-free and allows for you to suggest artists/songs and it will generate a playlist for you. I recommend God Forbid to everyone,their albums Determination and Reject the Sickness are probably 2 of the best Black Metal albums ever made.They are very guitar riff heavy and so hard they make Slipknot look like teddy bears.

Japanther is the hardest band there is. They are not metal.

Eyehategod is metal, and they're good too.

I love Japanther though.

As far as metal goes its def my fav genre of music. I def recommend checking the bands im about to list.

-Sworn enemy
-Devil driver
-Blood has been shed
-Dead blue sky

-Dimu Bogir
-Cradle of filth

Yep thats a pretty good list there. I have heard like 3/4's of that list. Still one of my favorite metal bands is Pantera.
