| Playing SNES on your computer! :::Tutorial Alright I got a bunch of requests on how to play SNES games on your computer. So this is a picture tutorial on how to do it. If I get enough positive response I will sticky it.
*** IMPORTANT***
-Playing and downloading roms (the game files) is legal only if you actually own the original copy. In all honesty, people are probably not ever going to find out, but just be aware that it is not legal to download copyrighted material without actually owning the material. Here's what you'll need: 1. WinRar
2. SNES Emulator (I will be using Snesx9)
3. A SNES Rom First off, I would like to say that this is much more simple then it looks. Just think after downloading the files I've bundled and spending about 5 minutes getting used to them you will be able to do this
Alright first things first, you need to download WinRar HERE. Once you have downloaded it you need to install it which is very easy. This software is very easy to use and very good. It's not harmful to your computer at all.
Next, you need to download Quick's Bundle of Love Here. In this file you will find the emulator (Snesx9), to .dll files which you will do nothing with, and two roms (Aladin and Mario RPG).
Alright now you have everything you need. Locate the Quick's Bundle .rar file on your computer. Now once you open this file you should get an option to buy Winrar or something like that just use the evaluation or what ever option is most similar. Next you will locate the snesx9.exe file in the winrar file. Double click on it and then the program will open and a new window will open. This is your emulator and what you will use to run your roms. To run one of the roms that you have on your computer you will click on "File", then "Load Game". Once you are browsing your computer for roms you will realize that you don't see Quick'sBundle. So what you need to do is go browse your computer and find QuicksBundle just the way you did to find the emulator, once you've done this you should see the Aladin.smc file. Highlight it then click extract in the Winrar window. Doesn't really matter where, just somewhere you will be able to locate it easily. Now go back to the Emulator window, File, Load Game, find your .smc file and click "open".
WA LA!!! You're gaming like it's 1990 again. A lot of free roms are available HERE, they come in Winrar format so just extract them like the other ones.
Happy gaming!
