Believe me every active member has tried to in some way. Ive promoted us on other sites. I had www.the360forum.com as my motto for awhile. I have a link in my aim profile and i posted multiple bulletins on myspace and junk. It will grow bigger when gears of war comes out and the more anticipate games.

When the forum is small everyone is like, "we gotta get more members, we gotta make this forum grow".

And when you have hundreds of members it's like "I can't stand all this spam", "this forum sucks, it has lost all it's appeal".

My suggestion is "built it and they will come".

I've already said my say about the terrible layout of the individual games sections and other people have agreed with me. I've also told my friends to post here and they told ME the game layout sucked! If people are so willing to do what they can for the site than why don't I see anybody willing to fix the site itself?

I know it'd be hard but so is life and my crotch.

On a lighter note I've been writing "Visit www.the360forum.com bitch!" in a speech bubble coming out of the Queens mouth on Australian $5 notes. Well since I AM the only Auzzie here I've gotta be the Head of Advertising for the forums Australian department I've gotta do my part too...

I dont see why ppl wont register bcuz of a terrible layout of games, this forum still owns it is still awesome... and there is not much spam.... just wait and ppl will come and register.... its just a waiting game.... no need to have 100,000 ppl though

I don't see how games are not relevant to a GAMES CONSOLE! I don't want to sound flamey but sometimes this forum seems alittle pretentious sometimes. I know optimism is a good thing but seriously. What attracts people to this forum initially is the games. If they get frustrated trying to find that post about a racing game they made a week ago then they're going to leave and just not post here again.

You're 100% right about this forum being great (community, feedback, mods, Live organisation, graphics sections, videos, debates) but if no one stays long enough to find out, then it's at a loss.

I suppose you are right about people registering regardless of the "terrible layout of games". Sure they register and make 10 posts and get sick of people not replying to their lost thread and then never come back. Registering doesn't mean shit if there's no ongoing participation involved. We could have the most members out of any forum on the web but still only have a few members posting and the mods trying their best to keep things running.

Gears of War will be a great game but it can't fix a forum, tell people to go to it and then keep them happy. If people are going to come to this forum JUST for these new games then they'll just leave eventually when the threads they participate or start, die in the midst of Halo 2 and Dead Rising threads. There's nothing like a great online community to make a new member feel ignored and frustrated.

i agree with angel on that shit aswell and also rusted there are resons y everygame ever made does not have its own forum coz manageing it all for Z would b a bitch

i know where ur comeing from tho as i mentioned this to z b4 we decided on forums for the most popular games out instead of everygame with its own section.

But we DID have it managed before Z threw it into several melting pots! Some smelled better than others (FPS/Action) and had some better main ingredients(PDZ/Oblivion) but in the end you've got a kitchen that smells like a Burger King dumpster. Smells great until you actually open the lid and see half eaten meals dumped together by recyclable catagories.

Each game doesn't have to have it's own forum. He could just make each game a Sub Forum where there can only be plain threads.

But I also agree with 4ng31...

Yeah but then each sub forum would have like 5 or 6 threads, and that would make our forum look small and less appealing. Whereas if its all 1 forum for a genre, it will show cumulative activity.
