This is a real debate thread, one where legitimate points are brought up, sources are cited, and intelligent people can discuss a subject WITHOUT flaming. Mods will be watching this thread, so if you're just coming in to post "OmG you do druhgz, ur gonna die" or "Ur straight edge, go get a life" don't bother because I'm sure it will not be tolerated.

References to age, website affiliation (lol), or punctuation and grammar should not be included in your debate. This is about drugs and illegal substances.


To start it off, I believe that drugs are G-R-R-R-REAT! But ONLY when used responsibly. Irresponsible drug users are the worst kind of user, and only reflect poor light on the responsible users such as myself and my cohorts over at the MJ thread on H2F. My personal beliefs are that only psychedelics should be messed with, any synthetic or man-made chemicals are dangerous and can only hurt your brain.

i have my reasons for beeing against the use of drugs for Prolonged periods of time, but that will all start IF you initially take it once.

sean you have seen my reasons so im not going to repost them again, and liek i said in the other thread i was just like you guys.
i would defend it to my grave Untill i Grew upand realised its not about drugs at all.

I personally think drugs are for people that can't handle things so they take the easy way out, and they are a waste of money because you are literally just burning money, what good long term affects do you get from drugs?

I have a very chill life. There is nothing that I can't handle. My reason for getting high and drinking is because it's fun and it's social, and it's much better than sitting at your house playing video games. What are you getting out of spending money on XBOX Live? Life values and eternal knowledge? I'm not saying you get that out of smoking and the like (even though you will learn important life lessons), but I'm saying that your argument sucks.

1) you dont have to do drugs and get drunk to be social im social perfectly fine wihtout them and so are ALOT of people

2) not only do you burn money on nothingness (maybe 2 hours of not feeling doing anything) but yet you do what u said and sit and play video games also so your contradicting yourself there a tad

What are you getting out of arguing on a forum? And Xbox Live is completely social, theres a lot of other ways to find friends besides getting high and drinkin, and what am I getting out of spending money on Xbox Live? Pretty sure you spend money to get drugs, you think spending money on drugs and smokin them is fun, I think spending money on XBL and playing on it is fun

that and spending $40 a year to do sumthing anyday of the week at anytime as much as you want is slightly better then buying $40 worth of weed for maybe a day or 2 just so you think you hav ereal freinds who show up WHEN and only WHEN you have weed

Yes, people can be social and have a good time sober, but can you honestly say that doing these things for the social environment doesn't have validity? Clubbing? Bars? Hookah cafes? Cannabis clubs?

Anything you spend money on can be looked at this way. How much junk do you have lying around your house that you bought but you really don't need? If you read his post thoroughly, he uses the video games as AN EXAMPLE. He isn't contradicting himself in anyway, he was simply turning it back around just like all of you do with our posts.

LOL. THAT was a contradiction. You told him that his enjoyment has no validity, but when you see it equated to something that you do everyday you get very defensive.
