A few things I want to say.
XBL had an issue for a few days. That doesn't mean that XBL sucks all of a sudden. I'm sure that PSN and Wii Online are going to have a few days worth of unexpected downtime within a few years. It's inevitable.
UT3 is coming out for 360. Consider the PS3 version a beta test. Not to mention that the PS3's sticks suck for FPS's. Resistance has an insane amount of autoaim to compensate. Either way, the PC version > all console versions, so that argument's pointless...
Who the fuck wants wireless online gaming over wired? I'm personally not looking forward to playing Packet Loss Online.
Mockage, you're not getting Fife's point. I"ll give you the benefit of the doubt that all of those games are good, but that doesn't matter because he was talking about online games. Two of them are online games, and one of them isn't exclusive to the PS3. He asked you for a Library of good online games for the PS3, and you pretty much showed him one game...

It doesn't cost that much to game in HD. I picked up a 22" LCD Samsung Monitor with a 2ms response time that displays over the 360's max output (it's the same one MLG uses for 360's, except 2" larger). I also have a 20" flat screen CRT Monitor, which is pretty much self explanatory. I got them both for just over $300, including tax.
If you get an HDTV that can play videogames properly in HD (true response time, true framerate, no image deformities, etc) you'll be paying at least twice as much. And then most people pick up HUGE HDTV's that makes it harder for the eyes to track what's going on. That's nothing to brag about unless you're watching movies, but we're not talking about movies here.

But seriously guys, what games are coming out for the 360 within the next year that really are going to be worth playing? Games like Huxley and Spore aren't coming out anytime soon (Spore is for the PC though, which I'm promptly buying, FYI). H3 is a letdowm, and IMO COD 4 can't be taken seriously enough for my taste. I'm only playing these games when I have people over, it seems... and now my Wii seems to be filling that role. I've been playing Halo 1 and Shadowrun, neither of which are 360 exclusive. I've also been playing Halo 1 and Cube 2 on the PC just as much. I've seriously been losing my urge to play the 360 lately because the future of games to come out seem to hopeless.
The 360 is enough to satisfy me, but we're not getting anything new for a long time (aside from the .000001% chance that Bungie actually patches Halo 3 properly). |

Ironically Oblivion is on PS3 as well SG, so you really can't include that in the list (even though it is the best RPG game out for consoles).
And the videos for Gran Turismo 5 look amazingly good, that's always been my favorite racing series so I hope that has online play when released.
Other than that, there really isn't much out for the PS3 that I don't already have on the 360. More than anything, like Angel stated I'd just get the PS3 for Blu Ray, knowing that some great films are going to be BR only, but all my favorites are in HD (V for Vendetta, Batman Begins, Smokin' Aces, ect.)
Other than that, some good games will be coming out for each consoles, more one one that the other, but it seems that 2008 will be a very competitve market year.

Also why'd would I like to have Blu Ray or HD ? I don't even care about quality of movies because over seval years we'll have something new. I'd just stick with the normale movies because I really don't want to pay 30-50 euro for a DVD.
