I do pot. I put it in a soposatory and shove it up my bum when i'm not shooting it. I def don't smoke it.
Once you can buy it from a store its going to be much cheaper. The first thing the govt would do is undermine the dealer. Then you're going to have your organic and locally grown stuff you can buy at farm stands. It will blow up like nobodies business and no one will think twice about what shady kid they used to purchase from. The only reason dealers even exist now are to distribute the illegal product so the growers don't have to.
Fife you should start smoking pot before you start making lists based on poor outside observations.

to stay on topic though, if cigarettes were outlawed there would be way more people alive today demanding for healthcare and whatever you get when you're a senior citizen. So if you want taxes to double then keep fighting the war on tobacco. I used to smoke, i still do occasionally, but let people do what they want. Maybe instead of telling people cigarettes are bad for them (which they well know), encourage them to smoke an extra half pack a day to lower taxes.

A.) too stupid to grow it themselves
B.) too scared about the illegality of growing it themselves
C.) too young to grow it themselves

You don't need to smoke pot to share your opinion with everyone else. With that logic then most of us should never talk about the government (because we are not in it), or even about outlawing cigarettes (I think it's obvious that the issue is more complex then everyone is making it seem). If we did all this there would be no reason for the debate section.

Cigarettes would become the new weed. People would still smoke weed and all, but people would be sneaking cigarettes just like weed. Luckily I don't smoke either.

Technically, for the Americans at least, we are part of the government, thanks to the constitution. "For the people, By the people" Granted, it's not exactly in the terms you meant, but, techically speaking, we do have the right to complain about government by those standards because it is our government.

people would still get them just as they do with pot and every other drug.

edit: i know this is about cigs but marijuana takes the blame because it is by far the easiest to get and cheap. Also it cannot kill you.

And saying marijuana will influence people to do other drugs is wrong because the truth is BEER AND CIGS are the "gateway drugs" not marijuana.
