I mean seriously, you would think the whole armor and big body figure would take some more bullets.... i guess Marcus and Dom are weak pussies and get shot once and die...
Is that the way you want to see this game....

Some people prefer to get shot once and die I guess, I myself love realistic games, but who here thinks it's fun to randomly die from 1 shot that most likely hit your foot? cough**COD2** cough
Now don't get me wrong, COD2 is an AMAZING game, but sometimes it gets a tad annoying when that shit happens to you.
But c'mon, who here DIDN'T like Halo 2 before all the cheating and 13 year olds invaded LIVE? I kno I was addicted, I fucking loved that game, but now we all hate the game with a passion, or most of us anyway. But the point is, that game had shields, and it takes skill to hit a guy multiple times to kill them. |

Now, Death..
There is no real connection between the skill/fun involved in a videogame and how realistic it is. We're not in war when we play an Xbox, we're playing a videogame, not real life.
Honestly, I want a game that has an emphasis on teamwork in it's multiplayer. 1-shot games really stunt that factor because it takes less from the team to kill somebody. GoW has tons of factors that not only push for teamwork, but make it nessicary to even attempt to succeed. If things come down to a cover-standoff, the game allows for easy ways to overcome that with teamwork.
When you look at GoW, you have to look at it as a game that is teamwork-oriented, because the entire game is designed around teamwork and balance. |

| Both of you have valid arguments, I will wait to see what it will be like, but I have a strong feeling I will be leaning towards CoD3. Quote: |

| That's fine. You play CoD, that's you thing. I think I'll be playing GoW, because it appears to have elements of teamwork under it's skin that I enjoyed about PDZ. Since there isn't going to be another Perfect Dark, I'm interested in GoW.
The thing that i was trying to stress was that GoW has elements of gameplay that make the cover feature something that isn't game-breaking, specifically the map design. It was specifically designed not to be a camping game, by all means.
Bungie may have said that, but for GoW, I've read many official quotes and interveiws that have said just want I want from a multiplayer game relating to teamwork. They haven't just said it, they've shown it too.

I have no comment. *cough* worst aiming physics in a game ever! *cough*
As for teamwork, the new Cod should have that well covered. But like I said, if this game proves to be good, you will see me online.

| Yeah.. PDZ was horribly set up, but underneath all the getting-used-to was an amazing teamwork game. It's shame rare did such a bad job, because PDZ has alot of potential. (BTW, I loved PDZ's aiming system because you could use the benefits of low and high sensitivy with the same setting)
And I hope to see you online, because it's where I'm going to be |

But it's really hard to judge the ENTIRE multiplayer mode on a few mins of gameplay, it really is. So to say this game is gonna suck for muliplayer, is just stupid IMO. |

| There are alot of vids on the sites I listed that are actually dev interviews. It is in those videos that the cover mechanics and gameplay elements are shown. The cover is easy to use, yes, but it also has lots of checks and balances added to it.
For one thing, look at how the grenades work. The reticle shows you exactally where the grenades will go, even after ricocheting, and where they will explode. This makes it VERY easy to take out people who are sitting behind cover or to blow up the cover itself, if for some reason you can't shoot his back that's sticking up over the cover. |
