|  MLG Picks Up R6: Vegas for Pro Circuit
This was a little surprising to me, but MLG picked up R6 Vegas for the pro circuit. Quote:
When MLG announced the cities and dates for the 2007 Pro Circuit, we told you the information was merely the first wave of explosive news for the year. Today MLG eagerly unleashes another aspect of its 2007 plans: Rainbow Six Vegas has officially joined the Pro Circuit roster. The news that MLG added Rainbow Six Vegas to its Online Tourneys lineup was met with great praise from the tactical shooter’s community; MLG is excited to add such an enthusiastic group of players and a great title to its Pro Circuit for 2007.

Registration Opens – March 8 at 7:00 pm EST
Passes will be available in the MLG Store
Tournament Capacity – 64 four-person teams

Important Rainbow Six Vegas Pro Circuit Info
1. Team Capacity will be 64 four-person teams for MLG Charlotte.
2. After MLG Charlotte the Regular Season Team Capacity will be 72 teams (because 8 teams will have pro status and will auto-qualify for the Championship Bracket.
3. After MLG Charlotte there will be 8 Pro Teams & 8 Semi-Pro Teams based on 2007 season points. (The Top 8 Teams after MLG Charlotte will be offered entry into the MLG Pro Player’s Association).
4. There are 11 Rainbow Six game types.
5. Item Restrictions (XM-26 LSS, C4, GPS Device, Radar Jammer)
6. There will be a dedicated host in all Championship 4v4 matches.
7. New maps released as part of the upcoming Rainbow Six Vegas patch will not be used in Charlotte. They will be tested for possible use in future competitions. A decision on whether or not to use other patch content will be made on the homepage shortly after its release.
8. Due to scheduling conflicts, you cannot play in both the Halo 2 4v4 and the Rainbow Six Vegas event. You can, however, play in the Halo 2 FFA and the Rainbow Six Vegas events.
9. The Rainbow Six Vegas event will take place on Saturdays and Sundays of event weekends. Stay tuned for announcement of the hourly schedule.
10. Each Open and Championship Bracket match in Charlotte will have a predetermined order of game types. This order will be announced on March 8th.

Rainbow Six Vegas Online Tournament Info
Rainbow Six Vegas Online Tournament rank points will affect team seeding for the Pro Circuit. Since Rainbow Six Vegas will soon debut with MLG’s Online Tourneys, the same process will be used for this title in 2007. Pro Circuit points are worth more than Online Tourney points. However, since 2007 is the rookie campaign for Rainbow Six Vegas, no previous Pro Circuit points come into play for the first event in Charlotte, meaning the first rounds of Online Tourneys will play a significant role in a team’s seed for Charlotte. After the first event, Rainbow Six Vegas’ seeding system will function in the same way as Halo 2:
- One 2007 Pro Circuit point is worth more than any amount of Online Tournament points.
- All players with Online Tournament points will be seeded above all players who do not have points of any kind. The players with the most Online Tournament points will be seeded above the players with fewer Online Tournament points.
In addition to the added importance to the first wave of Online Tourneys for Rainbow Six Vegas, MLG will reserve an MLG Charlotte Team Pass for the Top 8 teams from the Online Tourney. Teams can only receive one pass, even if they appear in the top ranks of more than one tournament.

Entry fee: 20 MLG credits per player (Buy Credits Here)
Online Tournament Prizes:
1st: $1000 + 80 credits
2nd: $500 + 80 credits
3rd/4th: $200 + 80 credits
5th-8th: 80 credits

Whatever, I've said it before and I'll say it again...MLG is a crock of shit...just let them feed off of their Halo marketing.
Hex, about the LAN thing...I haven't seen a single Rainbow LAN tourney, yet every single Gears tourney I have heard of has had a huge success...
I really don't see this lasting that long...but who knows... | |

I really don't see this lasting that long...but who knows... | its because RB6V didnt get as much hype as it should have gotten, thats just my opinion, i just think its a better game over all. I think if RB6V was hyped as much as gears, their would be more tourneys. | |
