|  Official GoW 2 discussion thread.
Well, with the realease of Halo 3 right around the corner, it got me thinking about GoW 2 for some reason, and I wanted to see what you guys might be looking forward to.

- Mansion
- Fuel Depot
- War Machine

GoW had so many original Ideas, like the way Epic created the "Active Reload." It adds a whole new level of competitiveness to gaming, and can make any landslide win into a sure-fire loss. In a world of carbon-copy ideas, I want to see Epic implement some more originality into this game.
As for story, I'd like to see atleast a 10 hour campaign, with more resolution than the first Gears installment. I'd like to see more characters added, and of course... MORE WEAPONS! - Locust Sniper-Rifle
- Locust Machine Gun
- And obviously some type of Locust explosive weaponry.
I want tons more weapons, More locusts versions of everything, and obviously more CoG weapons. I'd like be able to throw a frag and have it stick to someone, like in Halo. (I know, cheap rip-off, right as I talk about originality, haha)

As for gameplay mechanics, I like the whole cover/"Stop-and-pop" style play, it's tried-and-true, and works really well, I say keep it. Maybe Epic could tweak it, if they found something that works better, but ultimately, it seems as close to perfect for that game as it can be, IMO.

Gears of War is one of the glitchiest most retarded games there is. But I still love it!!! I would pretty much buy it no matter what. As for what new stuff I would like to see would be...4 player co-op!! That would be insane Marcus, Dom, Baird, and Cole all as playable characters. New weapons, maps, etc.
Also I would like for them to edit snipers active so that it doesnt down you with one shot (that way the weapon actually takes some skill to use). Also for that when you get hit with a melee you dont get stunned.

way to early to disucss gow2 imo. has it even been fully confirmed yet?

Id like it to not be so host dominated if thats at all possible.
And id like it to require more skill and less shotgun use.

^ it has not been confirmed, but we all pretty much know it will come in the future.
Cliffy B said it himself, they are still working on the first one, if they dont come out with anymore updates for it soon, i imagine they will start work on GoW 2.
i def. wanna see more characters, and more weapons, i dont think they should fuck with the gameplay at all, they just need to fix all the glitchy shit in online MP.

They just need to continuously build off the story, if they try to do the same thing in a different setting, it's gonna be lame. They just need to add more elements, but not change the core play of it too much. | |

Locust Sniper = Torque Bow
Locust Machine Gun = Hammer Burst
Locust Explosive Weaponry = Boom Shot
These weapons were designed to be counter parts to the CoG weapons. Why would you want two identical weapons, but one has red glowing lights? | |
