I have it but am still playing CoD4 and Halo. Plus I am getting Rock Band tommorow. From what I played the game was decent, good graphics, good story (although I wish Altair didn't sound like an American), but the controls are a little wierd to me right now. I need to play it more and get used to the control scheme.
Anyone got any tips?

its not a renter its a keeper ur just stuck up and think ur gonna beat it all fast ive played for about 10 hours and the story is still not dieing out it freaking amazing its freerome so it never gets old | |

...but the fact is, there are more things I want than video games, so I'm trying to choose what I get wisely. My birthday is Jan. 3, so I may get a game for it.

I've heard the game doesn't have much replay value, but I'm still willing to pay the $60 to see what the story is like.

I watched one of my friends play and it looks amazing, i just dont know if its worth a buy..hows the replay value?

It looks amazing in HD, graphics are excellent, some of the best Ive seen on a 360 game ever. Animations are extremely lifelike, especially when climbing. I agree the controls are kinda funky but Im getting use to them. The storyline is interesting but way toooo many cinematic cut scenes in the gameplay, you find yourself sitting and waiting as much as you play. I like the concept of the game, the genetic memories and such and I also like the free roaming ability, it give you unlimited opportunities to discover the environment. I bought it, I dont regret buying it, it's refreshingly different than other games that have come out as of late. On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being crap and 10 being COD4, I would give it a definite 10 for graphics(must be seen in 1080i to appreciate) and animation (very fluid movements), a 7.5 for storyline and gameflow( too much waiting for cut sceens between levels) , an 8 for dialog(both main characters and members of the crowd) and a 9.2 overall. Ubisoft stepped up to the plate with their graphics but I want to see them bring the same level of perfection to the gameplay in Assassin's Creed II. Btw, they definitely left it open for a sequel.

I bought it, I play it on a 720 HD and it looks pretty damn good. I really enjoy the game and played it until my Xbox almost overheated (considering where I have it placed, overheat is possible); but it certainly a fresh break from all the FPS. I've pulled away from H3 to play it; but as it usually takes for me it takes a few games to get back to normal, my mind kinda got stuck in assassin mode.
It's easy to get caught up in it. I love the aspect of camping in a small square and assassinating every guard that comes walking up. Already have 4 or so achievements. 1 for assassinating 100 guards, 1 for killing 50+, one for being witnessed by a 100+ civilians, and I can't quite remember the last one.
IMO 9.5/10 total. Consider it in the fullest sense and gain some pleasure from taking down the guards as they come. | |

I just beat the game and I must say the ending was a big cliff hanger, but I'm pretty excited with this game Ubisoft did a wonderful job creating the story and the gameplay doesn't slow down either. I'm sure everyone who has played this game can agree its really fun.
