Description:
Hanger 704 was inspired by a classic Halo: CE map that features two symmetrical bases on opposing corners of the map. There is a center trench as well as catwalks that lead from one base to the other. New elements have been added such as equipment and game variants that were not in Halo: CE.

This is not a remake, rather an adaption for similar game play in Halo 3.

This map has been setup for the following game types:
FFA
Team Slayer
Capture the Flag
Assault
Oddball
King of the Hill
Territories

Yea, Hang em High was the inspiration, but the remakes don't play well when smushed into Foundry. This is designed to give the same type of gameplay with a more flowing environment.

Did you ever think of making the bases central so they were parallel to each other? haha, while typing that i just got a heaps good idea for a map lol.

The upper platforms play a HUGE role in Hangem High's gameplay. You want a camo down bottom that people can use to sneak up top and grab the power weapons (Rocket, OS, Sniper). The trench on HeH wasn't a big part of the gameplay, so I don't think you should focus too much on it.

Also, is there a shield door on this map? Why?


The map doesn't seem to have much cover. Another goal for making a HeH style map should be making two bases where fighting between the two bases is fluent and spawn killing isn't a problem.

Again, not a remake, the bases are good for control but won't dominate since the bottom of the base block the lower view and the side views have cover.

the shiled doors make a sweet choke point on CTF/Assault games

Thanks for the feedback, I am looking into ways to add more cover....
