I don't get the prank calling support thing either.
You will call them to harass them, but you won't call them when you have a legitimate reason to do so? |
I would rather waste 800pts than call them. They're outrageously stupid, which was what my last call was to prove. Forgive me for using the word prank incorrectly.

That's what I was trying to say. So relax plz.
I didn't understand that if you have a problem that you yourself and nobody else you know can figure out (it seems like you're the only one having this problem, because I too have signed into different gamertags using the same maps and had no problem) then the best way to solve it is to talk to somebody who may actually have the answer, or at least help you troubleshoot. There was no condenscending attitude or any negativity at all. I wasn't trying to sound rude, so I apologize if you took it that way. Everybody hates calling those dumb hotlines, but sometimes you just gotta suck it up or deal with the problem.
If you do choose to call, good luck! I know I called XBL recently and was on hold for what seemed like forever.

I don't play Halo 3 enough to care anyway so I suppose I'll wait till Xbox Live stops being so undependable as it's been the last week or so. There's so many reasons that we shouldn't have to pay $50 a year for a service that is undependable with such matters as account security, very frequent Xbox Live errors and limited control over what we want.
Oh, and I'm quite relaxed actually.

Sounds like you're swaying to the Dark Side known as PS3 :P For a $500 (plus tax of course!) investment, you can play two good games AND have PSN for FREE!
But in all seriousness, good luck. XBL isn't that bad. I did complain the past week but Fife brought up a good point that XBL is down mb one week a year (excluding recently).. so I'd much rather pay $50 for a service that a ton of people use than have a free service that barely anybody uses
Give it a little time.. they'll sort through the bumps and fix things.
EDIT:
I was just thinking... you dont' need the recent download tab or anything to re-download your maps. They download onto your hard drive (assuming that's where you put them...) and when you select to download the maps, it should have a checkmark next to it saying you already downloaded them. If you select that, it should let you re-download them. As long as it's the same box it should recognize it.

I rarely play Xbox Live anymore. School vacation is where I have the most boredom because I'm not working as much or going to school, and that's when I try to play and can't because of the XBL Hiccups. And no I would NEVER go to Sony lol.
It only recognizes it for the account that I downloaded them from. Wouldn't it be intelligent to scan the Xbox Hard Drive? If only Microsoft knew...

lol. good to hear!
And that's really weird that it only recognizes it by account... cuz I can use the maps (only downloaded once) on both of my gamertags... very strange. I wish I could help you more.

The Xbox will detect that the maps are there. However, the account doesn't know they are there because I never downloaded them on that gamertag. I knew I should have waited to reactivate Oh So I2aMpAnT before redeeming that card. I bought a 1600 points card so 800 for the maps and now I have to sign into DaN x I2aMpAnT to rent movies with the rest of the points lol. I'm going to Best Buy to exchange my 360 tomorrow anyway. It's freezing so much!!!. So hopefully that will fix it, if not then oh well.
