My two wishful thinking characters for Brawl are Espeon and Spyro. Ridley's a realistic hope, though. he has a huge fanbase.
I doubt Espeon would become a playable character. Know they have the Pkmn Trainer and Pikachu, they're bound to bring back a veteran Pokemon (mostly Jigglypuff), plus if you can come up with an array of moves (logically based in the Pokemon game), then I'll give you that because knowing it's movelist there isn't much it can do.
Spyro is a good idea for the third 3rd Party character, I could see his Final Smash move being him transforming to Destroyah from Godzilla xD.

I hadn't really thought of Spyro, but he's probably a good option. I think on Smashboards there used ot be a massive list. I might see if I can find it and point a few out later.

Espeon's A attacks could be tail whips, headbuts, scratches, and small bursts of psychic energy. She could have a good aerial spike with her tail, and it could add some range to other attacks. I think that she'd animate very nicely, like a cat. I imagine her with decent speed, weak attacks, but high priority(range).
Up B could be Agility (just like Pikachu) or Teleport (just like Zelda/Mewtwo).
Her her Side B would be the same move. I like the concept that Zero Suit Samus has the same recovery move as her side B and up B (Plasma Whip). With most up moves, there needs to be a slight delay so that you can move your stick from the up position to the direction you want to move in. With almost all of the stick going towards one move, it could be used instantly to go in any direction.
Her Neutral B could be Psywave. It'd do minimal damage (or none at all) but force the opponent back the more you charge it. It'd have a large hitbox, but short range. A mix between Mario's FLUDD and Samus's charge shot, I suppose. It'd pretty much be a "get off meh!" kinda move, not a killing move.
Her down B could be Confusion. It'd lift anyone very close up into the air. It could be used to set up combos, but at the same time the target can also attack so it wouldn't be overpowered.
I think you guy'd enjoy this thread I made at Smashboards:
"Using Move-Through Platforms to Create a New Gameplay Mechanic
I had this neat idea for using the stage builder and I was wondering if anyone else had this idea too.
Basically, I want to use the "move-through" platforms (the ones you tap down to fall through and can jump up through). to create multiple vertical levels on a stage. Think of it like a few final destinations stacked on top of each other, but all of them except for the bottom one are those move-through platforms.
It'd look something like this:
With a stage setup like that, players could (theoretically) fluently move up and down through the platforms. This would create a unique kind of mindgame when players can stand at different elevations but still be free to attack each other. Think about how players would go about zone control. Hopefully, it could even increase the pace of the game if platforms are positioned close enough together.
If anything, this kind of stage design would simply create a unique gameplay mechanic and let brawlers play something different.

I can see that coming into play, but if Mewtwo does come back there won't be a point for "her". I mean don't get me wrong those are good move ideas, but Espeon could atleast try to have a move like Reflect or a more defensive move. If there'd be a new Pokemon, it should be one that can be bipedal, like Blaziken (which would pretty much be a Cpt. Falcon clone) or *as an example* Sandslash. Not that Espeon isn't possible, that's my reason why "she" won't be.
For another character that should be added, Zant from Twilight Princess would make a pretty intense character. His moveset would be;
B-Up - Teleport Spin Attack; much like Zelda's teleport attack, Zant would be able to teleport, but if he appears close to an enemy would be able to sneak attack them effieciently.
B-Smash - Darkfire Blitz; Zant's only projectile attack, he's able to shoot an array of blackfire from his hands simutenaously. This move does have a limit to how long it can go on for, and if he does it for too long his hands end up catching ablaze, stunning him temporarily.
B-Down - "Breaker"; Basically Zant uses both his forearm blades and releases a slow, but powerful attack. The longer it charges for, the more powerful it'll be; also has the ability to break through an enemy's shield. A miss causes Zant to lose balance and is vulrenable for attacks.
B Normal - Blades; Zant's simple method of attack, able to chain up a combo with this attack (and the possibilty to start a juggle on your opponent).
From that, I'd assume he'd be a medium character, low range (with exception of his Blitz attack), and semi-strong attacks with the chance to bring opponent's down.

The game's character choice has become pure bullshit;
Removed Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, Falco, and Ness
Kept Zelda, Ice Climbers, and Peach
Added Sonic, King Dee Dee, Pit, and Diddy Kong.
His down B seems like it'd be a little weak. Slow moves are easy to avoid, so I don't think the "dizziness" afterwards is necessary.
If another Pokemon gets added, it's going to be Lucario. Right now, he's the most popular Pokemon, so he has the best chances. He's a biped.
My favorite pokemon are Riachu, Tyrantitar, and Espeon. It's wishful thinking to think that any of them besides Riachu could be in. It'd be awesome if Riachu replaced Pichu.
As for Espeon, her down B and neutral B would be defensive moves (both "push" people away). A move like Ness's or Fox's down B would work, but I think that telekinetic moves are more suited for a Psychic pokemon than a shielding move is. Force pushes are more unique in Smash... think how Mass Effect would work.

The Side B attack would be more like Mewtwo's Shadowball attack, but it's rapid fire (like when Mewtwo throws people, he shoots the dark matter balls at them).
And I would of mentioned Lucario, I did in a thread way back in 1up last year, but he doesn't have many moves to use anyway. With Blaziken, he actually learns moves that are replicated to Cpt. Falcon's moves (Falcon Kick = Blaze Kick; Raptor Claw = Sky Uppercut, Falcon Punch = Fire/Focus Punch, Falcon Dive = ??? *have to look back at movelist*).
Tyranitar should make an appearance as a pokemon, either causing a sandstorm temporarily or using Thrash. Him as a playable character though, it's for his movelist to decide. Darkrai, one of the newer legendaries, would make an excellent adaptation, having a similar ability to Meta Knight's Final Smash (cloaking an enemy in darkness), but he would cause all opponent's to fall asleep (while the screen goes black). And yes Raichu > Pichu.
EDIT: Hitzel, the only reason I suggesting having a move like Reflect/Light Screen was that it's a move that Espeon would learn. That's the thing they have to do with the Pokemon; they got to make you feel you control them, and you don't have repeats of the same move. Like Pikachu; he has all his primary staple moves (Thunder, Thundershock, and Agility), while he has that one move he could learn (Skull Bash). Espeon could have Psywave/Psybeam, Confusion and Teleport, and for her Side B (or her Down B move) would be Reflect/Lightscreen, which would be an attempt to absorb a quick attack if the player doesn't have time to use Confusion.
