| Two things these vids made me think about:
1.) DDD seems like a much more plausible character than I had originally thought he would be. It seems like there could be alot of strategies that could be employed through him (there's alot that can be done with those Waddles if they're used right).
2.) P.T. rapes. Especially Ivysaur.

| I'm liking Squirtle ATM. He looks like he has a ton of aerial freedom. |

Ivysaur seems to do alot of combo damage, which is one of the more useful abilities for a character.
Charizard is, of course, the heavy hitter. I was pretty impressed by him too. I was afraid that they'd pull a mewtwo and drop his speed in order to compensate for his power, but it doesn't really seem that way.

| What tier do you think P.T. will wind up in then? Based on the vids.

| I dunno about tier position, that's based on win %'s at tournaments. But I do think PT's gonna be a good character. I mean, only one or two of the three Pokemon need to be good in order for PT to be considered good.
He looks very versatile right now. I think that if someone learned to master all 3 pokemon, it'd give that player a huge advantage. You could pretty much pull an entirely different strategy out of your ass in mid fight, and if the other player is still in the mindset of fighting your "Squirtle strat" or w/e, you could definitely get yourself up a stock. Basically, you can be more dramatic when changing up your mindgame.
It'd take lot of work though, so if not many people are winning with P.T, he won't be high tier. Still good, though. |

He's definitely going to be on my list of characters to try now (for competitive mp). Which, atm, basically looks like: Samus (because I used to use her), Metaknight, Pit, P.T., and maybe Snake. I like characters that are at least somewhat unique, so I don't have many of the usual "Tier 1" characters on that list (I figure its a given that I can use them well in mp).

| I'm looking into Sonic, Pikachu, and Bowser. PT and Olimar looks very interesting, too. Hopefully they work for competitive play. |

| Ah, yes, I'd forgotten about Bowser's buffs. He was one of the first characters that I had played as in SSBM, but I stopped because his speed was too much of a detriment. I liked Pikachu too, but I don't think I'll try to main him or anything.
I still think Sonic is top tier material. I've actually got a friend that I'm probably gonna play online with who seems pretty pumped about Sonic, so I'll let him handle that character. Now, I have to find a character that works well in 2v2's with Sonic.
IMO, Olimar could go either way. His moveset seems to have potential, but he'll probably be difficult to master. However, if FS's are allowed in "official" competitive play, then Olimar gets another advantage since his FS is virtually undodgeable (from what I can tell).
