People have already said it, They have Poker and Darts, Why not video games? Most of the Poker Pros started sitting in front of the computer for hours playing.
Don't people also claim "racing" is a sport, anything from Formula 1 to lawnmowers to Dirt Bikes? | |

You sweat a lot in those cars...if you sweat from video games...thats just sad. In nascar its an average of about 5 pounds lost per race from just racing it | |

MLG events are much more fun to play in and/or spectate in person than on TV. Kinda like football.. boring to watch, fun to play.

I'm surprised this is catching on, you'd think the majority of gamers would want to compete in the competitions rather than watch... of maybe actually play a game on their Xbox rather than watch others play games... makes no sense but whatever.
