Since when do video games take away your moral values? It's not likely that I can go out tonight and shoot someone and have no regrets just because I've played GTA!

Whoever commits these crimes were most likely mentally instable before playing GTA, or had some history of violence in the first place.

I just did a research paper on this and there's so many reasons why they are wrong. Here's a few

- Juvenile crime is the lowest its been in thirty years, the first video game came out 36 years ago

- JT said that violent school shootings wouldn't happen if it weren't for games like GTA but 2nd worst school shooting in history occurred in 1966

- Sure in GTA you can mow down pedestrians and cut police in half with chainsaws, but you can also choose not to. In games like Mario all you can do is save the princess, you can't rape her or kill her. So how are you supposed to be able to know what is good and what is bad if you don't have the option to do the bad thing. For you to learn the consequences of doing bad things don't you need to be able to do them?

I can post the whole paper if anyone wants me too, very interesting topic actually

Want to hear something else that's funny? Out of the 37 targeted school shootings (not drug or gang related) since 1974, 1 in 8 liked violent video games, and only 1 in 4 liked violent movies.

The stuff people like him spew is infuriating. I can get over someone trying to voice their opinion on a subject they think is touchy, I can even get over someone making ignorant comments and assumptions about a something they don't know, but I cannot stand when someone over-sensationalizes something and is only doing it for that shock value. Why does the headline need to be "We're training our kids to be killers"?.

As gamers there is not much we can do right now, sadly the most logical way this will end is when people like us start ruling the country and these people all die out. This kind of thing happened with dime novels in the early books, then 1900's, then with gangster movies, and again in the 1950's with comics.
