Idk why you guys don't like WWII games, I personally think they're great, but CoD3 sucked. I'll give it a rent, and if its good enough buy it.

I'll see when the full game is out though...I probably will pick this up for the simple fact that it is the Pacific Theatre of war.

I actually liked call of duty 3 but i would rather it stay in the hands of activision. Also we really don't need anymore WWII games. Why can't they see that?

I also enjoyed playing COD3 but that doesn't mean in general that it didn't suck. It added more features but a lot of stuff just seemed implemented wrong or poorly. WWII is a good subject in general but to me it is hard to constantly keep cranking out the same freaking game with more recent stuff without an update to the setting. At least this will be a change from the Germans but I dunno, I kinda like germans and their weapons.

We need a WWII game from the perspective of the Japanese. Now that would be a good game.

IF and Treyarch take turns each year making the next game in the CoD franchise. IF will have a game out in 2009 regardless of what Treyarch is doing. Nothing bad can come from this... if Treyarch didn't make it then we wouldn't have a CoD game this year.

Treytarch's main business is WW2 games, they did not nor could they have known that COD4 Modern Warfare would be such a big hit, if they knew that they might not have gone back to WW2.

They started producing this game before COD4 even came out, so they prob could not have changed over to Modern warfare. They are using the COD4 engine so this game should be OK, they only had about 7 months to work on COD3, they have had almost 2 years to work on this one, it should be good, if not there is always Gears 2...
