|  Rumor: Gearbox Working on Halo 4
[ source] Quote: Back in February, we speculated about the possibility that Gearbox could have been hired by Microsoft to work on a new Halo game after Bungie went rogue and expressed their desire to work on other franchises. Gearbox Software President and CEO, Randy Pitchford, revealed at that time that he was helming the new project, which according to Pitchford is "big. It’s, like, look-at-our-line-up-and-imagine-something-even-bigger kind of big." and he promised that "when you find out what this is, you'll likely agree that I can't oversell this one."
The latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine says that Gearbox is working on Halo 4 as a launch title for the next Xbox, while Variety claims that "Gearbox definitely had conversations with Microsoft" about doing a new Halo game, but there is no deal in place yet.
We'll have more on Halo 4 as more info becomes available.

Well, they did a lot of work on Halo 1 so I wouldn't really be surprised. Plus, you can't stop making Halo games, its way too much of a cash cow for a company to give up.

Gearbox sounds familiar...What are some other games they have made/worked on???? But a launch title for the new Xbox system? Well either the new Xbox is closer than we thought or there going to have plenty of development time to get this game right!

Gearbox software is mostly known for their work on the Brothers in Arms series and the PC port of Halo: Combat Evolved. They would be a likely candidate for a halo sequel, certainly. | |

meh, I'll believe it when I see it. MS is always so tight lipped about stuff that they don't let crap out that easily, especially about an unannounced console. |

I didn't like the port of H1 that much, I will have to see some gameplay before i get excited. They could fuck up H4 more then H3 so ill just wait and see.

I like their work though.
I know H1 PC was a big hit so i welcome them with open arms to make H4  .

They should of made Halo 3 better but I think the seriously need to put a lot of thought into Halo4
