I know the earlier games where good. When i first saw the trailer for this back like 2 years ago i was BLOWN AWAY! Now i think it just grew old on me and i was sick of waiting. I want to at least check it out...Does it even have MP?

The gore is pretty cool.

But, I probably won't ever play it.

eh...don't think I'll be playing this. Doesn't look all that realistic really. At least they aren't trying to sell it by how awesomely gory it is...oh wait.

Because Halo 3 and Shadowrun are both stunningly realistic right? Hypocrisy at it's finest. In all seriousness though, the game looks pretty fun so I threw it on my gamefly queue.. not particularly excited however.

Thank you Mr. Holier Than Thou. They think it looks amazingly realistic according in their video, I don't. I think their textures look rather bland compared to other games. Besides, Shadowrun never set out to be realistic so thanks for that comparison, it was well thought out. It set out to be a competitive oriented shooter that was balanced and achieved that. And since you mention Halo also, I would say based on immersion, which is what many games with "realism" strive for, it succeeded fairly well in many of the campaign levels. But whatever, I'm a hypocrite.

You're actually correct that both the examples I gave are not striving for realism, therefore they are invalid comparisons. I just get really angry when people refuse to play a game (especially a shooter) based on realism.
