Default Controller verse the controller of Xbox release

I think one of microsofts biggest downfalls to thier last system luanch was the "duke" controller. I think they have the best looking controller out of the 3 systems being released. Now The only flaw could be not the controller itself but the fact the 360 only has 3 ports and no room for a forth controller unless its wireless. For me this is not a problem but i was just wondering what everyone thought of this controller compared to that of the "duke" when the xbox first luanched.

i like the "duke" better than the controller S. this could be because i used the big one since day one, so whenever i use the S it feels awkward. especially the fact that the black and white buttons are on the bottom.

now...i think that the 360 controller is one of the finest contollers ever made. it feels so good in your hands, and i can't imagine the ps3 (and DEFINITELY not the revolution) controllers feeling better. a lot of jounalists are also touting the 360 contoller as the best ever, so thats a good sign.

I didn't like the duke because of my many years being a sony fan I never got used to the large controller I think the only reason I became a bigger Xbox fan was because of the controller S and its glory

Im going to be in real trouble. Ive only used my FPS Master controller for everything. Sports, RPGs, and of course shooters. I dont know what im going to do with a normal controller. I cant even remember the last time i used one. I guess it will just take a week or two.

Well i bought my box about a year ago and it came with an S controller so i like the idea of useing the smaller design. Also Robert why do you think the Revolurion will be uncomfortable? it looks like its very lightweight and you hold it in one hand. And Whats an FPS pad? like a mouse and d-pad?

i guess i don't necessarily think that it will be uncomfortable, but as a gaming controller i can't see it being as successful as the xbox 360 controller. it will take a while to get used to having the analogue stick and the d-pad/button so far apart, since the analogue is an add-on. it's just too different to the types of controllers we're used to these days.

Yeah, thats the whole point. They said that you need to play with it to understand how well it goes with gameplay.

Hmm..I bought a XBOX right off release so I got the taste of the duke...but I also broke about 2-3 of them back in the day. I now use the S which isn't really isn't that different getting used too. I would stil preferr a duke over a S anyday but of course they are discontinued!

I don't know about the "duke" controller being the downfall because I still have mine and I love it mainly because the small controller gets too much getting used to for me. As for the 360 controller, I think it will be a solid controller that will fit it most if not all people's hand sizes.
