Default Are a lot of Xbox 360s defective?

I've been reading a lot about Xbox 360's being defective. From having real slow framerate in the middle of a play for Madden '06, to flat out just not starting.

There have been people getting "Error 79" and "Error 74" messages and people having their Xbox 360 button flashing red.

Some guy said that the store he pre-ordered from said they couldn't give him his Xbox 360 because they were all defective and that they had to ship them back and are waiting for the new shipment or something like that.

This makes it a little easier to cope with not being able to get an Xbox 360 right now. At least by the time I get one there should hopefully be no problems with it.

Maybe that's what the whole deal of Microsoft only releasing a short ammount of Xbox 360s? Instead of it being some marketing strategy that everyone keeps saying, maybe they are only releasing a limited ammount to see if there are any problems with them? I dunno.

Is anyone having a problem with their Xbox 360?

these rumors usually happen at the luanch of every system. It is because the nintendo and playstation fanboys have nothing better to do then put down the system so their system can look better.

Yep. Some might be defective, but I doubt alot (and when I saw alot I mean about 1/4-3/4 of all 360s sold) would be defective. And besides, I don't play Madden, so I haven't had anything being defective.

Its all rumours maybe the ones are defective because they like put the cord in to loose and it fell out during an update so they blame it on Microsoft.

There are about 5% defective Xbox 360's.

The reason it seems like so many is because there are ONLY complaint threads. If EVERYONE posted that their Xbox 360 was working perfectly then nobody would complain because there would be SO many positive threads.
