Urban - This map consists of a lot of 3 story buildings, a casino, parking garages, highway, and a large courtyard with a small hut in the middle of it. A lot of the action flows into the courtyard itself.

Tower - This map is a frozen map, complete with a 3 story base in the middle with a LOT of ziplines leading to and fro. The base itself has a lot of ladders as well. Outside are winding passages which lead to a couple of other bases.

Desert - A smaller map (I've yet to see how it is when completely unlocked) which is basically a desert town with a lot of connecting roofs (Halo people, think Outskirts) and a main street which also tends to produce a lot of action. Also has a wall around it, and desert surrounding.

Old Town - Well, it is an old town with a lot of 2 story buildings and a very nice street setup leading to action on both ground and the second stories. There is also a tunnel system which gets a lot of action. I love this map so far.

Subway - A subway, complete with A LOT of different ramps and stairs leading to various hallways around the subway itself, complete with stationary cars and 2 main tracks. Yet to see this one opened fully, but it is a pretty massive map. A balcony overlooks the subway for overhead fire, but its open on either end and extremely long, making you an easy target for flanking.

Temple - A large map which is much like sanctuary + A lot of sunlight and water leading to a lot of plants. Tons of foilage, open areas, 2 story structures, hallways. Massive map even in its small stage, huge in its large stage.

The scalable map system works like this. When making a game you have the option of which areas to open, if any. These areas would normally lead to a dead end in a "small" game, but when opened lead to a whole new set of areas. Options include "Open 1 & 3" "Open 2 & 4" and "Open All (I think, never dared try it)"

I think those would translate into Medium, Large, Gigantic, but I've yet to test this all properly as far as what is opened up. The maps are simply huge and hard to memorize. I've got most of the small map versions down though.
I love you man, you are a really helpful guy, thanks alot

Either urban or desert they are both great if you like sniping.Temple is a good shotgun map and Subway is fun but way too easy to spawn camp.Tower is fun for onslaught and sabotage.Oh yeah old town is also a map that people can easily spawn camp but thats only in killcount games other gametypes from dark ops is fine.

sadly to say it can be on smaller scaled maps in team killcount. But something really cool on larger maps is the ability to hack a spawn teleporter so as long as you control these you can choose a spawn point so team killcount games are a mix of deathmatch and territories.(you don't get any extra points for controlling the spawn teleporters).Dark Ops matches this is not an issue.

Spawn Killing

Killcount - At the start, yes. A lot of spawns on top of each other unless map is larger than it should be. After that maybe once in a game you'll have someone spawn behind you or in front of you.

Team Killcount - Occaisionally, for the most part though, no.

Capture the Flag - When you spawn, you choose where to go from your Spawn Room. In smaller games there will be one choice, in larger there will be two or more. As was stated, you can hack spawn points through some games. For the most part, you'll have just as much a chance to kill someone who is camping a spawn as they will have on you. And through communication you should know which portals are being camped and either choose another or wait the full 15 seconds you are given and enter as a group.

Territories - See Above

DarkOps - No spawn camping really. Sometimes in FFA games there will be a problem at start but not likely. In team games there is none. If you aren't fast picking your weapons you might get attacked in onslaught or infection. But they will have pistols anyways :P
