If you want to talk PDZ vs Halo 2 then go to the correct thread. As for the anouncer in this game, the voice fits perfectly for what Rare was trying to convey. You are supposed to be playing a virtual reality videogame that fans watch. The anouncer is supposed to sound like the anouncer at a basketball game or something trying to get the fans pumped up about what is going on and that is exactly what he sounds like. His voice does get a little annoying and I can see where you are coming from, but the anouncer serves his purpose (to give you vital information about whatever gametype you are playing), and this is really a very small part of the game that just kind of blends in after a while once you get used to it. The voice does fit the look, feel, and back story of the game quite well in my opinion. |
