What is unlockable in single player for use in multiplayer?

I haven't played a lot of single player and I would like to know what you can unlock and use in multiplayer and how it is done. When you create a game in multiplayer there is a team option and I can only use two of them while it lists a few more that I can't use. I am curious about how I can unlock these and if anything else is unlockable. Thanks.

Actually, all you have to do is "unselect" the teams that are chosen and pick 2 new ones.

They usually dont have tha many important things because then certian people would have advantages in multiplayer, so i dont think they would.

I *think* when you beat the game on the hardest difficulty, it opens up a harder one. My source is that the difficulty multiplier for Perfect Agent is 3.0, but on the missions solo leaderboard, there is a guy with a 5.0 multiplier.
