| COD 2 gameplay quality test.. Hey everyone, just wanted to ask a general question from everyone for a quality test on a recorded video.
I've been playing COD2 PC a lot and in a few tournaments and I realized it doesn't look the same on my home computer so its kind of hard to tell if its decent or not when recording. The tournament computers I played it on had insanely high quality with mad framerates and no slowdown, it was pretty sick...
I have a short minute video here with ten clips in it. They're pretty easy to tell which is which but I really don't have any way of putting any labels on them, I'm not that great with graphics or editing. They were recorded at 400x300 but WMM makes it 640 for some reason but the quality still looks alright to me, no screen blurring that I can tell too much. I wanted to keep it at the original screen resolution but WMM only has certain resolutions to make it at.
I have it with AA off but all settings on normal. AA kills my ati 9600. :P
Anyway, I wanted a few opinions from people about the quality and not the shitty 5 kills-in-a-row gameplay itself, just watch and see if everything looks good or not. I want to know if you think its jerky, smooth, too fast, too slow, good framerate consistancy and all that other stuff. BTW the last clip has a really loud volume. Don't know how to fix it, just turn your speakers down when it gets near the end otherwise *BANG BANG*
Here's the file for DL, its 24.4 mb... like a minute and thirty something. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.ph...27FA3E748B62DC
Any comments are welcome even negative ones, thanks.

| Glad to see you did something with the info i provided you (this is Gnarly charlie from H2F) But your quality seemed pretty good. It would work fine for a montage/gameplays or whatever. The first clip made me laugh with those beatdowns with the trench gun tho. Good stuff.

| So the quality is "good" but what about the smoothness or sound? I'm recording from an SB live 24 bit... one of the best sound cards out there. The framerate varies a lot I know but that's common with PC's and stuff.. they take dumps sometimes in the middle of a game.
The smoothness I'm referring to is how smooth it looks when the screen moves, does it look like smooth movement or a twitchy mouse? I usually try to stay smooth on mouse movements and not just spaz out and start jerking 360 circles around the place looking for people when recording stuff like that.
Also the gameplay is retarded at best, this is just stuff I recorded randomely going into public servers with nothing but the intention to record, so naturally its going to be really stupid like sneaking up on people or laying down a spray and pray fest to kill people.. I didn't really include any skill or sniper type stuff because the sniper shots I always make are just boring... zoom in on camper, hold breath, fire, cap head.. most of the time I barely shoot a pixel on the face and catch them with a headshot. One clip I had like 9 kills in of people running across the street but I didn't include it because it was so boring.
Click, kill, click, kill, etc. It wasn't even headshots. Kar98 kills. (Noobish) I didn't even move. Looked really noobish all in all. Plus at the end I got snuck up on and got a shotgun in the back, so meh.
I'm not interested in making a montage or anything, but rather to record actual footage of certain things that you can do in the game that you don't think will work but works very well... for e.x. the people I snuck up on (individually) didn't have headphones. In 50 player servers you get many opportunities to sneak up on people and half of them turn around and kill me because they heard me walking up behind them. If you crouch before running up on them, they can't hear you; but most of the time I never do that.
Just another kill count for me when I'm fuqqing around and something for me to laugh about and say "HEY NOOB I snuck up on ya! ANAL FISTING TIME!"
The teabagging thing the enemy can't even see when they die, it was just a thing I did cause I knew I'd post it on a forum where people who play H2 know what it is. All I wanted to know was if the quality was good looking for shitty Windows Media Maker to post for a few friends to watch, and that's the only reason I ask.. its for friends, not the public.. I'm planning on building a team eventually and training them so we can pwn nubs in pubs. (TM)
I honestly want to get a program I can do really good editing on video clips with, like add effects and stuff to them with. This was a picture from Paint for the image at the start of the clips. whoop-dee-doo. Real great eh? (EDIT) - I'd like to add sound effects and stuff to videos also, like the quake sounds "HEADSHOT" or "RAMPAGE!" and stuff like that. I thought it would even be funny to have the original Halo's "Killtacular" sound on some clips. :P
Anyway, I really hope I get a few more comments on this before I head out, I really would like to get some feedback on the aspects of it. One more thing I wanted to know was if the GRAPHICS were actually good. I honestly think it looks just like the original COD with slightly better gun models, but I have bad eyes when it comes to noticing detail so that's why I asked.
I play for performance most of the time so I have my GFX card's options all off. No anti-aliasing and low mipmap detail, etc.
Anyway, thanks for the comments everyone so far, if anyone else has anything to add, jump right in. I'm glad to hear it.
Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, and no this is not a bump, I just haven't had a chance to reply because of work lately.
Anyway, I personally use a "Game Elements Gemini" Its a controller with a recoil USB cord, just have to be gentle with the cord on it since its metal and can bend easily but its the best for the price and certainly the best damn controller in terms of sensitivity on the sticks... I've never had a better PC controller than this one. The model number is "GGE908"
Its really nice because you can adjust the deadzone on the sticks and a whole bunch of other shit on it. And it has a turbo that actually f***ing works. Plus its like the old-school PlayStation controllers so its really damn comfortable. But the best part is that every button is labeled :P
(Easy configuration)
Anyway thanks for all the replies, if anyone can lock this topic please do so. I've got pretty much all I'm going to get. (I think)
Peace
