Hi PDZ fans!
I was thinking about how many PDZ players that haven't played the original game for the Nintendo 64, and of course, even if they would want to, they will not go and get an N64 just to play a single game. But still, it's real sad that so many players missed out this amazing game, the actual backbone of PDZ...
Well, the day has come, I have the ultimate solution for you guys! Check my homemade guide that I made just for you PDZ fans who really want to play the original Perfect Dark 1 for Nintendo 64, but never had the chance. Well now, after 5 minutes of downloading and installing, you'll be blasting those N64 Datadynebaddies on your computer with you mouse and keybord with a lot higher resolution than the N64, and locked at 60 fps! Am I awesome or what?
Here you go my friends:
My homemade guide to playing Perfect Dark 1 on your computer with your mouse and keyboard: 1. Download the Emulator Project 64:
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/project64.html 2. Download my complete, homemade mouse and keyboard emulator control setting for Perfect Dark:
http://rapidshare.de/files/31943671/pd64.cpf.html
3. Open the emulator and choose the right control plugin N-Rage's Direct Input8 V2 1.80a to be able to use my mouse and keyboard setting by clicking Options/Settings.../Controller Plugin
4. Press Options/Config Controller Plugin.../Load Profile and load my setting you just downloaded.
5. Download Perfect Dark here:
Perfect Dark:
http://romhustler.net/download/n64/259
(Bonus: GoldenEye:
http://romhustler.net/download/n64/128 )
Note: This site contains 95% of all Nintendo 64 games out there, and it's real easy to config your joypad to work with it
6. Finally, fto make the setting work, be sure to change the in-game control setting to "1.2" (same goes for GoldenEye)
7. Now you're finished and you can play this awesome game just as any other PC-fps out there
This is the controls:
WASD = just like PC-fps, forward, back, strafe to the left, strafe to the right
E = Open doors, reload you weapon
Space = Accept in menus, change your weapon
Start/Pause = Enter
The left mousebuttonn = shoot
The right mousebutton = the aiming function (sadly, this doesn't work with a mouse, but since regular aiming is so much more easy with a mouse and keyboard, it doesn't really matter)
If you want to change the sensitivity of the mouse, go to Options/Config Controller Plugin... and change the Range meter in Control Stick-box down to the right and press save.
Well, that's it, I want to spread this game as god as I can to people who haven't played it, so help me
Hmm, to make more people intrested in checking out Perfect Dark, take a look at the review score IGN gave it when it was released back in the days:
