New version of the Canals map is now up. I tried to go with names that were easy to use in combination to give more accurate locations, because it is easy to lose someone on this map if they are good at evasion.

Like if you were to say their dock-pool, you'd be pointing out an enemy in the pool by the dock in c1/c2. Yes some names are lame, but I tried again to choose area names that would not be used other than to describe map locations. (The bumberchute might be necessary so people don't confuse it with firing a gun. Plus it sounds cool. Say it with me, "bumberchute"

This is a great map to try different tactics imo. Standard procedure, seems to be one to bridge snipe, one to dock, bottom of stairs and two to torque, one to cover and one to grab the bow if possible. The biggest problem I've seen, is one sniper getting there quicker and being able to pick off the other as they arrive. Second would have to be the sniper getting flanked and leaving you with no cover fire on the other sniper. Basically, the sniper is important.

It seems like the right side spawn (6 or 7 on your grid) can reach the sniper half a second faster. Maybe it’s just an illusion but I find it harder to rodie run to the sniper on the left then I do the right.

And a tip for anyone who screws up going for the snipe:

If you know your going against a good player who knows what he’s doing and you mess up going to grab the sniper (ie. Hit a wall or take cover), don’t bother getting it right away. Wait about 10 or 15 seconds before you pick it up, just so that the other sniper loses interest in it and thinks everyone is rushing or something.

That may be true.. I remember many times where I ran perfectly to the sniper and my head exploded before I could move.

That could work Roth, I just go bounce around and give him the one shot. If he doesn't get me, I grab the snipe. So basically, "Neener, neener, YOINK!"

I can get to the bottom of the stairs via roadie, but I can't round onto the stairs, is that possible?

With practice yes, it's easier if you are COG as you have a tighter turning radius.

COG usually has advantage; it's just kind of there, but not written.

About strats, sometimes the "trench" tactic works where you keep equal ground. They might rush so they'll be in the open for sometime and you can take them down. I haven't played this map enough for an adequate strat though.
