So, I was doing a thieves guild job in the Imperial City, and accrued 5 bounty. So i figure, eh, Ill run to a town, talk to a fence and get my bounty off and all will be cool.

The problem is, you cant fast travel or wait while guards are pursuing. No big deal, Ill walk all the way to bravil. So i get there and pay off my 5 gold bounty and the guards are still supposedly pursuing me. Now I have no horse in the area and am forced to walk my ass back to imperial city so i can hopefully be confronted by the guards and pay nothing.

The lesson, dont run from the cops, bc youll get screwed over in an RPG.

P.S. for some odd reason some of my punctuation keys bring up my find thing. No idea why, but kinda pissing me off.

I remember when I outran the guards in Anvil, warped to Bravil and payed off my bounty of 40 gold. Then when I leave Skrijja (or w/e the Khajitt's name is), they fined me 40 gold.

dude, once you get your bounty paid off just go up to one of the guards that is chasing you and hold block and activate them (talk to them) and they will accept your yeild and walk away

It sucks when all you can do is kill guards because they won't stop coming pretty funny though. That is why the Grey Foxes mask is my greatest belonging.

yeah its no problem, i figured it out, just kinda a shitty inconvenience at the moment ya know having to walk.

and i think i was running cuz i had something i wanted to keep on me that was stolen and just obtained the bounty from doing something else.

My friend tried the same things, but his bounty was 2,000+
he went to some city and tried to pay half, because it worked before, and the cops left him alone, but this time they still chased him afterwards, so he had to pay like 3,700 haha

It was amusing, he was pissed.

Makes sense that you wanted to keep something stolen, but you could've taken it back out of the evidence chest when no one was looking. And I forgot to put it in my last post but your fences can't pay off your bounty, only Armad and Skrijah.

You know where the guards wont follow you. The Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. Why the hell can't the Dark Brotherhood pay off my bounties. They should be able to do it too. It would save me the trouble of running until midnight at the Imperial city, or going to Bruma, just to have the guards in my face once I walk through the gate.
