What is the most effective way to kill an ogre? It takes me forever to kill the damn things and I always get pounded by them. Any type of spells (fire, frost, shock) work better than others?

what level are you? i use a daedric claymore (30 damage) and a daedric longsword (27 damage) my guy is a level 29. so those guys go down pretty fast for me. my guy is of warrior class, so i dont bother with the magic shit (its not my thing). im sure you know that blockin is pretty effective against their hits. anther thing i do is take my time. ill block their hit, hit 'em a few times, block, hit. but those guys are pretty damn tough.

I have got to the point where I can just hold block, and after a while they will just drop dead.

But my advice is, use a power attack, run back a couple feet quick to avoid them, and repeat.

hahh it says in the guide to avoid the Goblin Warlords, those bitches are hella tough, for me i punch the shit out of them, yeah it takes like 5 minutes, but after that my hand to hand skill went up like 5 lvls

i'm like a level 9 only, so my best weapon i have right now is an elven longsword with 13 damage. But thanks for the tips

Well if you were me, I'd tried to get sneak attacks off of them when possible, depending on where your fighting them (e.i: if your in a cave it's alot easier).

I basically just stood 50 feet away and picked them off with arrows. With the sneak attack bonus and my enchanted arrows they were dead relativly fast.

Yep thats exactly what I do...I love being an archer, its so much easier to kill things, especially when you have good sneak and you can shoot them without them seeing you and you get the bonus.
