| Pull The Trigger Meadowlands Summary First let me just say, this event was sick at first i thought the split screening was going to be a big deal, but it really wasn't (especially if you played on the top screen).
First match: we get called up to the main stage to play against a random team i forget their name, we got to host the first map they hosted the second we 3-1'd em on both. While we were playing two other teams were also on the main stage playing vVv Vision and another random.
2nd match: we get matched up against vVv Vision, they hosted fuel and we hosted gridlock. vVv's strats were way more refined than ours and we lost on both maps and got pushed into the loser's bracket.
3rd match: this is when they started putting us in matches right away with no breaks inbetween, two of my teamates didn't know this and left the building to find burger king (because the food inside was NASTY lol) so we almost had to forfeit this match but they made it back in time, we played against "Status" and won canals their host 3-1, mansion our host 3-0.
4th match: another back to back to back match, this time we got matched up against team FYC. These guys had beaten an old school version of PTT in one of those MLG online tourneys, that didn't include me, denovo, or dnice, we had a higher seed so we got to host mansion first won 3-0, then they hosted war machine, we had them 2-0 then got sloppy so they tied it up 2-2 and then dnice clutched it in the last round in a 1 v 3 so we won 3-2.
5th match: another match with no break in between, the official lets us know this will be the last match to decide who'll get the spot in the finals bracket for top 16. At this point we no longer have to play on split screens. This match was against Unforgiven, i hosted mansion first we took this map 3-2, this was a an intense map because one round came down to Denovo being downed and an Unforgiven player being downed, both in the boom area, the Unforgiven guy got up first, then denovo got up a second after and got the shotty off to win it. they took war machine 3-2, and then on their host gridlock, they took it down 3-1. ggs
so we ended up in the top 20 , but had a great time, i video taped some gameplay of other teams on saturday will post later.

| Hey guys, got back about an hour ago.
We had a BLAST at the event, was a ton of fun and had a lot of really intense matches.
Started the day off Friday with a short flight from Ohio to Newark, NJ, got there around 9. We then drove around, lost, for about an hour and a half before finally finding the hotel we had booked at for a nice $59 a night and the MLG venue. We then took turns standing in line while some of our members (we had 8 guys there) went and ate at UNO's.
The line was by far the worst part of MLG. They had us lined up, around 400-500 I'd guess, in the bottom floor of a parking garage. It was so ridiculously hot, because it was probably 90 or so outside coupled with the fact the parking garage was making it so there was no air circulation at all. We stood in line around 2 hours before they finally started letting people move up....to another line. Then to another line, inside the nice, cool air conditioned venue.
We warmed up for about an hour, doing winner stays and eventually getting up on our own so we wouldn't overdo the practicing. First matches ended up starting around 11, and we ended up playing until 1:30 AM, didn't get to sleep until around 3 AM. Was a lot of fun overall
The vVv you guys saw playing early on day 1 was their second team, and they beat our other team, which eventually fell into the losers bracket and lost to pA II. Here's our match scores from the entire event: OPEN PLAY - DOUBLE ELIM, ALL SPLIT SCREEN, First to 3, Best of 3
Winners Bracket Round 1
vBi vs pA II
3-1 Canals
1-3 Clocktower
3-1 War Machine
Winners Bracket Round 2
vBi vs Chronic Insomniacs
3-1 Fuel Depot
3-2 Gridlock
Winners Bracket Round 3
vBi vs LGD Black
2-3 Clocktower
0-3 Mansion
Losers Bracket Round 4
vBi vs pA II
3-1 Mansion
3-0 War Machine WE ADVANCE TO CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET (Final 16) CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET, Double Elimination, First to 3, Best of 5
Winners Bracket Round 1
vBi vs LOA Excalibur
They used to be XsV, for those who are familiar with that team. This was played at 11 PM, ended at Midnight on the main stage.
2-3 Canals
3-0 War Machine
3-2 Mansion
3-0 Clocktower
Winners Bracket Round 2
vBi vs NSAN3Z
This one started right after, and they kept us on the main stage. Started at midnight, ended around 1:15, with everyone left in the building waiting for this to finish. Was a pretty big crowd
0-3 Fuel Depot
3-1 Canals
3-2 Gridlock
1-3 Mansion
3-1 Clocktower
Winners Bracket Round 3
vBi vs LGD Black (Final 4, Winners Bracket)
We woke up late due to our alarms not going off and had 10 minutes of warmup going into this match We got torn up and just destroyed. Completely outplayed, even though we had a close map the day before. Fuel Depot we got 9 kills but only managed 1 round somehow.
0-3 Gridlock
1-3 Fuel Depot
0-3 Clocktower
Losers Bracket Round 4
vBi vs N3
Probably one of the best matches of MLG Meadowlands, I've heard this from a lot of the guys who crowded around the stations to watch it. We've played N3 nearly a dozen times on LAN now, so it was a bit of a special match to begin with. The closeness and intensity made this a ton of fun.
3-1 Mansion
0-3 Clocktower
2-3 Canals
3-1 Fuel Depot
3-0 War Machine
Losers Bracket Round 5
vBi vs vVv Visions
vVv ends up winning the tournament, after losing a 2-3 match to LGD Red. After beating us, they go on to roll over both LGD Black and then LGD Red, hardly dying the entire stretch. Our match had 2 close maps right off the bat, which could have gone either way. You'll have to see the VoD on this one to see what I mean, it was on the main stage so it should be up soon. This marks the first time our SOAP squad has lost War Machine on LAN.
2-3 Fuel Depot
2-3 War Machine
1-3 Canals vBi finishes 4th, earning $1400 and invitation to the "Pro Players Association", which includes a few extra perks. Also, we'll automatically advance to the Championship bracket for MLG Dallas (Final 16).
Final Standings:
1. vVv Visions
2. LGD Red
3. LGD Black
4. vBi
5. NSAN3Z
6. N3
7. TLR
8. prOpheCy
Video on Demand should be up sometime this week, we should have 3 matches on there for anyone who wants to see them.
vBi vs LOA Excalibur
vBi vs NSAN3Z
vBi vs vVv

Canals was the only map I can think of that turned into a huge campfest, and Mansion whenever a team ended up going inside. Just what you've got to do to win. Can't just charge people on LAN.

| Good job on making it far in AM PTT Good luck making it even farther next event, hopefully into pro.
Good job on top 4 vBi. I was hoping to see a vBi vs N3 stand off in the end :P It's unfortunate that the matches against vVv vision were so close, but they ended up taking it. It seems like LGD Black was the team that you struggled with most, which is understandable considering they are a great team. I expected LGD Black to place above Red since they have been playing more.

| Yeah, I felt going into it that LGD Red would struggle since they haven't been playing Gears much recently. But appearantly them and LGD Black LANed a couple days before the event, which probably helped get them into form. Them beating vVv then Blck was surprising for me personally, even though I know they used to be very good.
vVv has been on fire playing in their prime recently, we knew going into the event they'd be a huge force, and they ended up just rolling through everyone after the 2-3 loss to LGD Red.
