Xbox Ultimate – the gaming daddy?
We’ve already had the Xbox 360 Premium and Elite. Both are, of course, fine gaming machines with the best games catalogue in the next-gen field. But come autumn 2008, we reckon both will be rendered obsolete by the Ultimate.
This PS3-killer will benefit from almost three years of Xbox development, featuring 1080p HDMI output, built-in Wi-Fi, hi-def audio output, cooler 65nm hardware architecture and a near-silent fan.
It’ll also have the ability to make the most of the by-then established Xbox IPTV service, which will mean recording TV shows to its vast 320GB hard disk and watching live TV shows via your broadband provider.
But the piece de resistance? It’ll have a built-in HD DVD drive. Let Round 12 with the PS3 commence...

Yeah this looks pretty awesome, and I too wish I had a tv that could support that. hopefully my hdtv will soon be on my entertainment center and not on my wishlist.
I still don't like the black, though

Who personally needs a 320GB HDD anyway, I don't watch TV anyway. Plus I highly doubt the 360 will produce the same show I recorded in HD.
And this would just make everything current 360 owners have obselete, when M$ have been manfracturing adaptors for $100 each, now this is going to cost about a good $800 or so. "Buy the console first, and get fucked over majorly", it works all the time.

Honestly, no one who owns a 360 is gunna go buy one, and it'll cost 800-1,000 bucks.....the 360 is turning into Windows Vista...

Oh and they won't take advantage of the HD-DVD drive for games, since that would eliminate purchases from the watered-down 360 owners, and Blu Ray already won the format war imo.
