Adding more instruments to a music-based game seems like the next logical step. In fact, with most rock acts consisting at least of a bass line, drums and vocal artist, it's a wonder no one has thought of it before. There's no mention of which instruments will be included, though we'd like to take this opportunity to point out that the most recent This Week in WTF?! totally called it. The interview drops one other intriguing tidbit: "It's the first game we've had in which we can use local content and local bands." How Activision plans to sort through the thousands of popular local acts out there remains to be seen, but it could be a good step for the music lover who frequents a favorite bar or club.

This had me excited, although I suppose it's pretty much just Rock Band with a different name.
