Anyone getting Wii Fit?

I think this looks really interesting and i plan on buying it when it's released. Not only does it look fun but it does help you stay somewhat in shape! I haven't been able to go out skateboarding much lately so this will help me out. I know the guy at gamestop told me it was an INSANELY popular hit in Japan when it was released and i can bet it will be the same here in America.

So am i the only one getting this or what?

If I still had a Wii I don't think I would get it. It looks liike a novelty, way too casual for me. And how much 3rd party support do you think it will get? Not much, and 3rd party support already sucks ass on the Wii. So I bet the Fit will only have shitty games not worth the time and money to buy them and to really play them.

I think Charlie buys enough other games that it isn't that big of a deal. To me it doesn't seem like its that much of a "cancer" even though you were not completely serious, I think that they are getting people to buy it that normally wouldn't purchase one, so its not like gaming is losing that much of its demographic to crap. That said, I have never had any respect for what nintendo has put out since the N64. They have a few classics but they are just nostalgic installed fanbases. I like to see progression, and while fun to play the novel things like Wii sports, it wears off fairly quickly and I don't see it to be much more than a generic party game that would be fun to play drunk. Too me, developing a wand isn't that revolutionary, being that there was point and shoot guns on the original with duckhunt, you can buy a joystick to play airplane games since forever, and I don't really care if I can swing my arm to make a sword go. Although every artist is allowed to have their style that they want to make their games, almost everything looks cartoonish on the damn thing with it only having the graphics to match an xbox or ps2. My revolution is creating a good game but with graphics that are well done to go along with it. Wii just isn't worth it to me.

If you where to come look at my game collection you will find nothing but shooters, rpgs, and rythem games like rock band. I don't really have anything casual in my eyes especially for my GF to play. This is why i got the Wii. You aren't going to be doing halo 3 sized tourneys on them. You have the laid back casual games just about everyone can enjoy. Really my motivation on buying my Wii was to play Zelda, Smash bros, and RE 4. Then just to have it as entertainment when i have friends over.

Wii fit comes in because if i can stay in shape and have some fun doing it hell why not??? Plus my GF is SUPER into working out and shit so its right up her alley.

I just find it funny how Spyder was all over the Wii when it came out...Now he hates it??? LOL!!!!!!

We're gonna get it, my daughter has a Wii and she and my wife are actually looking forward to the Wii Fit release. I'm sure I could use it as well, I always have a few spare pounds I could drop!

Is the Wii Fit really going to get people in shape? Is it that tough/strenuous of a work out? I haven't seen a whole bunch of it except the headbutting soccer game-and let me tell you how fun that looked...lol.
