May be seeing more 360/PS3 price cuts...

well this is according to an analyst, so its not like its official or anything. It also appears dependent on how well May sales do. To me it would seem like console sales wouldn't really be seen until everyone that finally decided to pull the trigger to get GTA did it in May. But hey, I'm not paid thousands of dollars to give my two cents.

"Of course, it might be a little too soon to speculate that we can expect a price drop in the coming weeks or additional hardware SKUs (an Xbox 360 with Blu-Ray capability) in the coming month," Divnich said, "but if May's hardware sales drop below the 50,000 units sold a week threshold, we can definitely expect something in terms of a change in strategy from both Microsoft and Sony."

It would be nice if the PS3 dropped in price. I do want to get one for Resistance 2 and for Blu-Ray use.

I too would like to see a price drop for the PS3, it may not be another $100 price-cut, but it's better than no price-cut.

Indeed. If i get the government stimulus check (which i qualify for and should recieve it in july) i will be getting a new TAT and a PS3

.

Even a $50 price cut would be very nice!

I'm surprised that people find this surprising. As the life of a system progresses, each "system seller" game will become less and less effective because relative audiences overlap. Basically, a huge portion of people that would have bought the 360 for GTA bought it beforehand because of H3, and a huge portion of people who would have bought one just for H3 were first attracted by GoW.

I'm glad another PS3 price cut seems to be in order. I probably still won't buy one for another 6-12 months, but I want to pay as little as possible when I do.
