|  why make games for the X1?
why do people still make games for xbox1? games like destroy all humans 2 and flatout2..i dont get it...why do they still do it????

And the fact that not everyone has a 360. And eventually Microsoft will make them b/c (but only if they sell well).

Millions of people still own an xbox, so there is still a market for games.
Many people own an xbox for the first time as the 360 owners sell off theirs.
It's easier to make a game sequel I'd think anyway. The base is already there you just have to make new levels and add some new features. |

Here's a popular scenario. Back when Half-life 2 was announced for the Xbox, a slight yelling of "...WHAT THE FECK!" could be heard on the southern hemisphere, around the location of Australia.
That was me.
"Why would they release it on Xbox while admittingly proclaiming themselves of 'dumbing down textures' and 'other gameplay mechanics' so that it would run smoothly on the xbox? Why do this when X360 games were already in the making?" I would tell myself.
It all then became obvious. Sierra/Valve or whatever was releasing HL2 on the X1, as cheap and dodgy as it was, to rake in the cash of the last days of the xbox. And the Halflife fans that didn't own a high end computer would buy it. I already knew that HL2 was going to be re-released on the 360. And was I right? Yes. I told you so.
Money. It's what makes the world go 'round and release games like, Farcry, Gun, King Kong and Tony Hawks:AW on multiplatforms...
