No plan for the new mortal kombat to appear on 360 anytime soon :(

Ok some of you may know of the new mortal kombat game coming out called Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. It has every MK character you can think of in it. This is the motherload of all MK games it seems like. Plenty of new features like create a fighter, in air combos, custom fatalitys and much more. Well i e-mailed midway about a release for the 360 and this is what i got. Im pretty bummed because i really want this game and i dont have a normal xbox or ps2

. Oh well i guess i can live with ultimate MK 3 for the XBLA

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon will not be compatible with the Xbox 360 upon
release. For an Xbox game
to work with the Xbox 360, a special software emulator is needed. This
software is designed and
owned by Microsoft. Midway does not have access to this software.
Sadly this means that customers
will have to wait until Microsoft can create a software emulator for
that particular game. The
following link has a list of all the game that can be played on the
Xbox 360:

We can not say whether a particular game of ours will work on the Xbox
360 until Microsoft has
provided the emulation. Currently, Midway is focusing on producing new
titles to take advantage of
the Xbox 360 console.

That sucks. I'm guessing Midway just can't make two versions of the game (one for Xbox and the other for 360), and have them released on the same day (or have it be released for the 360 a month or 2 later)? Well we'll just have to wait (just like for everything else in life).

ooo yea when i saw this in the Gameinformer a long time ago i was hoping that it would be for sum of the next-gen consoles but when i looked it said only xbox and ps2. Im still thinking about getting it for xbox. When does it come out again Oct. 2006

Thats what i thought they where going to do have two versions one for 360 and one for the original xbox. But then i started looking around then i saw nothing about it coming out for the 360 so i decided to e-mail them and get a answer and it just mad me sad lol. This game looks so amazing though i might just buy another xbox to play it if they dont release it for 360 after awhile. But like you said tom we will have to wait and see.
