Resident Evil on Wii is blast from the past
Resident Evil on Nintendo Wii looks be an exhilarating experience, albeit somewhat familiar to fans of the franchise. New RE Wii details (next person to call it Resident Wiivil gets a smack) have surfaced courtesy of GamesAreFun.com which indicate Nintendo gamers will be experiencing a blast from the past.
The title will feature four chapters, all from previous incarnations: RE1's mansion, RE2's RPD, RE3's city areas and RE4's village and surrounding locations. Each chapter will have two characters that are selectable: RE1 features Jill and Chris, RE2 will have Leon and Claire, RE3 is home to Jill and Carlos, and RE4 shall be Leon and Ada. In addition, there will be several unlockable characters, including Albert Wesker, Hunk, and Rebecca Chambers.
Have no fear, though. It's not 100% a retread. The website insists that "New content will be added to the individual chapters, with a primary aim to include more of an Umbrella connection to the RE4 story."
Also, "Gameplay wise, it will NOT be light gun style, instead using a setup similar to Resident Evil 4. The B trigger will be used to engage over-the-shoulder view, with the Wiimote to aim and A to fire."
Hey, we're just happy that the series is making its way Wiiward. And yes, we deserve a smack for that as much as somebody who writes Wiivil.

Details have emerged regarding the upcoming and recently announced Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii.
The game hasn’t been revealed too much in terms of details but controls are said to be similar to that of Resident Evil 4 with the B button triggering the over-the-shoulder view and the A button firing while aiming with the Wii-mote.
Here are the latest details on the game:
-It consists of 4 chapters RE1’s mansion, the RPD from RE2, the city areas from RE3, and the village from RE4.
-Each chapter has two selectable characters. In RE1 you choose from Jill and Chris. In RE2 you have Leon and Claire, RE3 has Jill and Carlos, and RE4 has Laon and Ada.
-Unlockable characters
-All characters will have melee attacks
-Game features Quick Time Events from RE4. Motioning with the Wii-mote will be done to perform these.
-New content will be added to each chapter.
-Each character will have a unique set of weapons
-Each stage will feature new weapons
-Arcade Mode will be based on the Mercenaries minigame. You pick a character and blast your way through it basically.
-Scenario Mode will include a large number of in-game cutscenes and situations.

sweet. im going for wii60 when does teh wii come out the only resident evil game that looked cool IMO maybe because i havent played any of them was the lastest i think thats resident evil 5? or 4? for the gamecube | |

Resident Evil is like my Dads favourite game. He pretty much has every Resident Evil for PS1 and PS2. Shame he doesnt have a Wii
