Sure, Epic shot down the idea of a pre-launch Gears of War demo, but somebody in marketing land seems to think one is out there somewhere. Reader Jeremy spotted an ad for Xbox Live Marketplace on page 58 of the December OXM that says "Download demos for top Xbox 360 games such as:" with the words "Gears", "of" and "War" prominently displayed below. Is this just sloppy copy writing, or is something in the works? Mark Rein said they would be working on "other things" as soon as Gears went gold. With most people eager to pick this one up sight unseen, would you rather see a demo, or some quality additional content in short order? | So anybody think there is gonna be a demo? I think there MIGHT be after the game is realeased but i dont think there will be one before realease because of all the hype makes since...you want all this hype for your game all the people think its gonna be a great game (which it is) but all the people who thought they would love will buy it epic gets there money and then they find out that they hate it :P i would do the same if i had a hyped up game. |

I dunno, seems pretty pointless to make the demo after they release it. They want people to go out and buy the game, not dl the demo and decide they don't like it, and not get it, they would loose money that way.
This is probably just some kid that WANTS to see a demo come out, and is illusionating terribly. lol. | |

there pobably is a demo but its definately not coming out any time soon. i think in like 2-4 months it would probably come out cuz Halo was the biggest game of the year and didnt have a demo in the OXM magazine for a while

never is going to happen b4 launch. the only way u will c a demo is if the game dosnt do as well as they thought and they release one then. that is about it | |
